The present library was established in 1977 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the seminary and was later expanded in 1997. It is housed in a three-storey building designed to accommodate various functional areas.

                 The library holds a collection of approximately 30,000 volumes, including reference works. It also provides access to electronic resources through the Global Digital Theological Library (GDTL) and periodical subscriptions via the ATLA Religion Database.

                 The collection is regularly developed and updated with current publications across a broad range of subject areas, including: Asian Theological Resources, Biblical Studies, Christian Religious Education, Gender Studies, Historical and Denominational Studies, Interfaith Studies, Mission Studies, Music, Pastoral Studies, Peace Studies, Theological Studies, and other related reference materials.

                  Photocopying services are available to facilitate easy access to reference materials for users. The library applies standard cataloging and classification systems such as the Dewey Decimal Classification System, AACR2 (Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Second Edition), and the Sears List of Subject Headings. Since 2021, the library has adopted the KOHA Integrated Library Management System for cataloging and circulation.

              Notably, the MIT Library is the first theological library in the region to implement a solar energy system, aligning its operations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy and Goal 13: Climate Action. This initiative reflects the library’s commitment to sustainability by promoting the use of renewable energy, reducing its environmental impact, and contributing to a more resilient and eco-friendly academic environment.
