Bachelor Degree Program
MIT’s liberal arts spectrum is covering in the fields of Arts & Languages, Humanity & Religions, Social Sciences, English, Economic, and Technology. Presently, liberal arts program is offering six different majors (Business, Computer, English, Music, Religion, and Social Studies) to all bachelor students; the program also offers many new options for elective courses not only two years courses like languages, Journalism, and Music, but also one semester courses such as Office Administration, Basic Accounting for NGOs, Team management, Religion and peace, Religion and Gender, Development Communication, Sociology, and many more. Measures are being taken to transform Journalism elective course into a major course in the near future. Previous community outreach program for third year students was transformed it into internship program for final year students which mainly focuses on professional development experiencing in real life situation.
Internship program is a pre-requisite for graduation and students have to complete at least 120 hours of internship in relation to their major fields.






Business major is one of the fastest growing majors in the Liberal Arts Program of Myanmar Institute of Theology. The department hopes to provide qualified human resource that will fill the country’s need. Even now, LAP business major graduates are demanded by various sectors especially in NGOs and private sector. Business Studies Major offers the following subjects.

Anyone regardless of religion, faith, age, race and gender who has the following criteria is eligible to apply for Bachelor Degree Program.
- Matriculation passed (A List) or an equivalent qualification (Agricultural/Technical High School passed); GCE ‘O’ level passed.
- Three-hour English test (Entrance examination passed)
- Must be of good health (An up-to-date Medical Report)
- Application forms are available at LAP Office starting from May.
- Deadline for application is the last Friday of August, 5:00 PM every year.
- Entrance exam will be held on Saturday, the second week of September.
- One recommendation from teacher/principal of the community or advisor. The person recommending must not be from one’s family. (Form attached; Official seal required)
- One recommendation from pastor/elder of the community or advisor. The person recommending must not be from one’s family. (Form attached; Official seal required)
- To submit Photo-copy of Matriculation Certificate and to produce the Original Certificate at the Office for Entrance Examination.
- To submit Photo-copy of Official Matriculation Transcript (Marks) and to produce the Original for Entrance Examination.
- One page essay on “My Life” which should include information about your family, home, school, hobbies and activities.
- Two recent passport size photos (taken within six months).
